PETER took 1st in the Under 600 section of the MONTHLY FRIDAY NIGHT SCHOLASTIC OPEN held down at the chess Emporium this past Friday night the 12th of March. Way to represent Cherokee Peter! Congratulations!

Of course now he will have to play in the open as his rating is now 603 - three points over the 600 barrier! This means that he and Bennett Katz are officially a "CHAMP" section two player team! I sense team trophies in Cherokee's future!!
